Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 17 September 2025

SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR THE SALE OF PLANE TICKETS

Our special terms and conditions apply to the sale of airline tickets and form an integral part of the contract. They supplement the general terms and conditions of the Travel Disputes Commission for the Sale of Travel Services (CLV), the provisions of the law of 21 November 2017 on the sale of package holidays, linked travel arrangements, and travel services ("the Law"), as well as the contractual terms and conditions of airlines. We reserve the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time for future bookings. Changes will not affect existing bookings; the terms accepted at the time of your specific booking remain applicable to that booking.

When we sell airline tickets, we are selling a single travel service within the meaning of Art. 71 of the Act.

1. OFFERS

All our advertisements, web pages, and offers are prepared in good faith. The traveler expressly agrees that any information provided is provided in good faith and based on available data, and may be subject to change prior to the conclusion of the contract. Photos and illustrations are provided for informational purposes only and are not contractually binding. Unless otherwise stated, when we make an offer, it is always "on request" or subject to confirmation. The traveler authorizes us to correct any obvious material errors in the information we provide.

2. RESERVATION PROCESS AND CONTRACT FORMATION

We act as retailers, which means that the contract for air carriage is concluded directly between you and the airline operating the flight(s) and is also subject to its terms and conditions.

We sell airline tickets exclusively through our website, and the booking process is conducted solely through this website. To book a flight, you must complete the entire booking process, including accepting all applicable contractual terms and conditions.

Once the booking process is complete, you will receive an email confirming that we have received and are processing your request. The final contract will only be formed after we have confirmed the booking by email and received payment. The confirmation email will contain the booking reference.

3. RESPONSIBILITY

As a retailer, we cannot be held responsible for the execution, quality, or smooth running of the flights sold. Any issues arising from the contract of carriage (delays, cancellations, overbooking, schedule changes, refunds, fare rules, loss or damage of baggage, etc.) and related obligations and responsibilities are the sole responsibility of the airline.

4. PRICE AND PAYMENT TERMS

The price covers the flight(s) as specified in the contract and also includes all taxes, fees, charges, or other additional costs.

You shall, where applicable, bear any additional fees, charges, or other costs that we could not reasonably have been aware of or could not reasonably have calculated prior to entering into the contract.

You acknowledge that any obvious pricing errors may be corrected. If the error is discovered after confirmation, you will be notified immediately.

As stipulated in Article 2, the contract is only effective upon payment of the price. Only then will the airline tickets be issued. Failure to make full payment may result in cancellation of the booking without entitlement to a refund. Any bank charges are your responsibility. You can only use the payment methods listed on our website. We do not accept any other payment methods. Your payment information will be encrypted on a secure server in accordance with PCI standards.

5. TERMINATION, MODIFICATION AND ASSIGNMENT BY THE TRAVELER

A flight cannot be canceled, changed, or transferred unless the airline accepts it and subject to its terms and conditions. Any such request must be made in writing by you to the email address indicated in Article 13. No guarantee can be given in advance regarding the possibility of making the desired change or transfer. Requests received outside of business hours will be considered received the following business day. If the change or transfer is accepted and the cancellation is made, we will charge an administrative fee of EUR 30 per person for internal processing, in addition to any fees charged by the airline. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by us.

In cases of denied boarding, flight cancellation, or long delays, the traveller alone is responsible for filing any compensation claims directly with the airline. The retailer is not entitled to receive, submit, or benefit from such claims.

6. CHANGES TO THE CONTRACT BY THE AIRLINE

We reserve the right to make minor changes to the contract once it has been concluded. In this case, we will notify you by email, and you will not have the right to object.

In the event of schedule changes or cancellations by the airline, we will inform you as soon as possible.

We also reserve the right to correct obvious material errors in the contract.

7. IMPORTANT FLIGHT INFORMATION

The identity of the operating carrier will be indicated on the documents you receive pursuant to European Regulation 2011/2005.

You are required to arrive on time for boarding, with all your travel documents, including your boarding pass, which you must read carefully. You are solely responsible for complying with the check-in deadlines imposed by the airline.

Each airline has its own rules and procedures, so it is essential that you review these rules and procedures before arriving at the airport.

Airlines on the European Commission's blacklist pursuant to European Regulation 2311/2005 of 14 December 2005 can be found by following this link: https://ec.europa.eu/transport/modes/air/safety/air-ban_en

Within the EU, you enjoy the rights defined in EU Regulation 261/2004. Under this regulation, the airline is responsible for granting your passenger rights and assisting you directly, even if you booked your flight through us.

8. SUSTAINABILITY AND EMISSION REDUCTION

As part of our commitment to more sustainable tourism, we do our best to reduce the carbon footprint associated with your travel. However, we cannot be held responsible for any sustainability statements or commitments our customers may wish to make, particularly with regard to emissions calculations, which may change over time depending on available methodologies and data.

Documents demonstrating reduced emissions are provided based on information provided by our partners and service providers. Consequently, delays in providing this documentation may occur, beyond our control.

Emissions reductions do not necessarily occur on the individual flight or service you use. We apply recognized mechanisms such as "Mass Balance" or "Book & Claim," which allow us to allocate emission reductions globally.

9. GENERAL INFORMATION ON TRAVEL FORMALITIES

You must be in possession of valid identity documents (ID card, passport, visa, etc.) for the entire duration of your trip. It is your responsibility to ensure, before departure, the validity, compliance, and adequacy of your travel documents with the requirements of the destination, transit, or stopover countries.

We draw your attention to the fact that some destinations may impose specific formalities for minors or passengers in transit.

If you are a foreign national (non-Belgian), you are required to inquire personally with the Embassy, Consulate, or competent authorities of your country of origin and/or the destination country regarding the formalities to be complied with (visa, vaccinations, permits, etc.).

The person concluding the travel contract for themselves and/or other persons undertakes to disclose their nationality as well as that of all travelers listed on the reservation, in order to ensure adequate information on the applicable formalities.

10. HEALTH

It is your responsibility to actively inquire about the health formalities (mandatory or recommended vaccinations, restrictions, etc.) required by the destination or transit country.

By booking this trip, you declare that you are medically fit to undertake the chosen trip. You agree to inform us of any specific medical condition that may impact the flight or require special care.

For safety reasons, we reserve the right to refuse travel to any person clearly unfit to participate, provided that such refusal is based on objective, proportionate, and non-discriminatory reasons.

11.NOTIFICATIONS

Unless otherwise stipulated, all notifications under the travel contract must be sent to the following addresses:

By email: lea@bookbetter.travel

12. DISPUTES

In accordance with Article 5 of the CLV General Terms and Conditions, we have an internal complaints handling procedure.

In the event of an unresolved dispute, both you and we must attempt to resolve the matter amicably. If no solution is found, either party may initiate a conciliation procedure with the Travel Disputes Commission, with mutual agreement. An impartial conciliator is appointed to establish a fair proposal, and if agreed, a protocol will be signed. If conciliation is not possible, the procedure may be brought before the Arbitration Commission or a court.

The Arbitration Commission's decision is final and without appeal.
